Check Your Six WWII Air Battle

Saturday the local HMGS-South group played a game of Check Your Six at the  Dogs of War shop. The 1/300 scale planes involved were:

2 Mosquitoes
4 Spitfires
2 P-47s
4 Me109s
3 Fw190s

Ultimately both Mosquitoes bomb targets and one is lost shortly afterword. Two fighters are lost on each side as well.

Black Powder War of Spanish Succession Game

This weekend the local HMGS-South group played a War of Spanish Succession game at the Dogs of War shop. Black Powder rules and 6mm Baccus figures were used. Unfortunately the duty photographer got so involved running the game that he forgot to take photos. Those below were taken during cleanup.

Check Your Six WWII Air Game Photos

Saturday the local HMGS-South group played a game of Check Your Six at the  Dogs of War shop. The 1/300 scale planes involved were:

2 Blenheims
2 Spitfires
2 Hurricanes

4 Me109
2 Me110

The Blenheims were to cross the table and bomb invasion barges prior to the planned 1940 invasion of Britain.

Ultimately, all three Blenheims were destroyed. One Me109 and one Hurricane were destroyed and several other planes were damaged.

Check Your Six WWII Air Game Photos

Saturday the local HMGS-South group played a game of Check Your Six at the  Dogs of War shop. The 1/300 scale planes involved were:

3 B26
2 P38
4 P47

2 FW190
4 Me109
2 Me110

The bombers were to cross the table and bomb some military installations in France prior to D Day. None made it. Two 110s were lost. Two 109s and a 190 were damaged.

Black Powder WSS AAR

In this Black Powder scenario the advance guard of the Allied army had just arrived at a village crossroads. While still in march column, the advance guard is surprised by the appearance of a French blocking force tasked with the delay of the Allies. The French objective is to take the crossroads and hold it as long as possible.
